The Bubble Launceston is excited to be offering Baby + Child first aid premium classes.
Baby + Child First Aid Tas provide information sessions covering baby and child CPR and first aid, home safety, accident prevention and the management of common childhood illnesses and injuries.
The sessions are intended for parents, families and members of the community who live with, or around children, and includes many topics that aren’t covered in most first aid courses, that are common causes of concern for parents and families.

The Premium classes offered at The Bubble Launceston are small groups that run a little longer than our community classes to allow for more content, hands on CPR practice and plenty of time for Q&A, along with take home resources and gift.
Baby + Child First Aid Tas sessions are brought to you by Sharon Rootes who is trained to provide information to parents and families in accordance with current recommendations and guidelines from reliable sources including the Australian Resuscitation Council, Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, the Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, Asthma Australia, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and Red Nose to name a few.
Our sessions adhere to COVID-19 requirements and all equipment used by participants is sanitised before and after each use.
A bit more about Sharon...
Sharon's professional background is as a Registered Nurse specialising in Paediatrics, Neonatal, and Paediatric Intensive Care, with over 30 years experience caring for babies, children and their families in various roles including as a Clinical Nurse Consultant and Clinical Nurse Educator in Paediatrics at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Sharon has been teaching baby and child first aid to families in the South of Tasmania for a number of years and has been with Baby & Child First Aid Tas from its beginning in 2020. Her work in the hospital is taking a backseat now as she commits more time to empowering and equipping parents, grandparents, anyone with little people in their lives, with knowledge and skills in CPR, home safety and accident prevention, and how to manage common childhood illnesses and injuries.
2.5 hour session
$100 per person or $180 per couple (partner, parent, friend)

Full payment is required at time of booking. Bookings and payment are to be made via The Bubble Launceston.
A full refund is available if cancellation made with 48 hours notice, if less than 48 hours notice a 20% fee will apply. If Baby & Child First Aid Tas have to cancel the class a full refund or option to reschedule will be offered.
