Erin is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her PhD at UTAS in 2010. Erin is passionate about supporting women's mental wellbeing, and strongly believes in the proactive management of mental health.

Erin looks forward to supporting clients at The Bubble throughout all stages of the perinatal journey, and has a special interest in working with clients with postnatal anxiety and depression. Erin is experienced in caring for clients through the challenges of fertility treatment, and is also a trained childbirth educator who loves facilitating Hypnobirthing Australia's Positive Birth program, to prepare parents for an empowered birthing experience. Erin is familiar with the challenges of the transition into early parenthood, and loves working collaboratively with women through this evolving experience.

More generally, Erin specialises in providing psychological therapy for the management of low mood, anxiety and stress, including perfectionism, specific phobias, social phobia, and generalised anxiety disorder. Erin also specialises in helping to build self-esteem, enhancing self-compassion, managing grief, developing parenting skills and improving effective communication abilities. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for working with trauma.

Erin currently provides psychological services at Gregory Street Psychology and here at The Bubble Hobart. Erin uses a variety of approaches (including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - ACT, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy - DBT, Mindfulness), and is focused on working alongside clients to find strategies and techniques that are best suited to their needs. Erin has a non-judgemental, validating and empowering style of practise, and believes in approaching the challenges of life with compassion and humour.

In her spare time, you will find Erin buying containers at K-Mart or belting out 80s power ballads down the road at Superstar Karaoke with a great deal of passion but very little skill.
