Kayla is a skilled Registered Psychologist originally from South Africa, who earned her MSc in Health Psychology from the UK in 2020. She is deeply passionate about women’s mental health and wellbeing, with a strong focus on perinatal mental health. Kayla is dedicated to providing a safe, warm, and empowering space for her clients. And luckily for us she now calls Tasmania home!

Kayla has a special interest in supporting clients through the unique challenges of both the perinatal and postnatal stages, including perinatal anxiety and depression, stress, pregnancy loss, fertility treatments, the transition to parenthood, and menopause. She is excited to offer compassionate guidance for clients navigating the pregnancy journey at The Bubble.

As a new mother herself, Kayla brings a genuine understanding of the complexities of pregnancy, its complications, and the transition to parenthood.

Kayla specialises in evidence-based psychological therapies for anxiety, stress, low mood, adjustment disorders, interpersonal difficulties, and family concerns. She is now providing psychological services at The Bubble Hobart, utilizing a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Trauma (CBT-T).

Kayla’s supportive, non-judgmental approach helps clients build self-awareness and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Outside of her work, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dog Hamish, and relaxing with a good cup of tea.
