Dr Rachel grew up in Sydney and later moved to Tasmania, where she initially worked as an audiologist before pursuing her medical degree at the University of Tasmania. During her residency at the Royal Hobart Hospital Dr Rachel completed the RANZCOG Certificate of Women’s Health and RACGP extended skills across maternity and gynaecology services.
Dr Rachel has recently achieved her Fellowship in General Practice through RACGP and holds a FPAA National Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health.With a deep passion for women's health and reproductive justice, Dr Rachel offers holistic care throughout all stages of life, from adolescence and reproductive health to menopause and beyond. Her areas of interest include pregnancy care, contraception options such as Implanon and IUD insertions, and medical termination of pregnancy.
She is also dedicated to supporting women with menstrual and sexual health issues, and navigating the complexities of perimenopause and menopause. Dr Rachel provides compassionate, non-judgmental environment for her patients and is sex positive and kink aligned.Dr Rachel also works with Family Planning Tasmania and at Deloraine Medical.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr Rachel is enjoying the challenges and privilege of learning to step-parent two young boys and continues to explore Tasmania’s natural beauty. She enjoys pottering around with the chooks, attempting to garden and caring for her beloved dog.
